Women of Whitehorse was created on February 7th, 2015. Jennifer Brosnan, the Founder of WoW, thought there must be a better way women and local small businesses could connect, collaborate and support one another, and so the WoW Facebook page was set up to share local information and grow as a community page.
We added an E-Newsletter as well as facilitating regular educational workshops, networking events and functions. We also have a closed Facebook Group where women can promote their business for free, share local resources & information, request sporting team players as well as have discussions for instance on referrals for a local tradesman.
We regularly review local cafes and restaurants sharing blog posts and have an Instagram page.
In late 2019 we launched a Membership Program catering for Business and Social Members. From March 2020 we are launching an exciting new venture whereby we have partnered with a Canadian Women’s Network group WWBN to network and collaborate online.
